CSP 60 Racial Identity: What it is, Why it Matters, and Multiracial Perspectives
In this course, we will examine theories of race, racism, and racial identity, with a particular focus on Black-White multiracial identities, as well as other racial identities which straddle America's racial divide. We will read philosophical treatments of mono-racial and multi-racial existence, examine autobiographical accounts of multiracial experience, and consider sociological findings on multiracial identity.
