10.3 Intern Credit for Diagnostic Imaging (DxI) Reports
Under MN state law, only licensed chiropractors and certified employees can take x-rays. Interns, in our educational program, may take x-rays under the direct supervision of either party listed above.
Starting Winter 2021, interns completing RAD-8707 will no longer need to log X-ray techs during clinical internship.
Dxl Reports
Twenty (20) Diagnostic Imaging reports are required for graduation or prior to attending a preceptorship out of state or with a T10 only MN clinician.
- In T7, interns will complete up to 10 DxI reports in the RAD-8707 Radiographic Technology and Positioning course, based upon attendance.
- In T8 - T10, interns must complete a minimum of 10 DxI report assignments throughout Clinical Internship 3 - 5. These DxI report assignments will be available in the Clinical Radiology Team in Microsoft Teams and submitted through Zoho Forms. After completing the DxI report assignments, the NWHSU Radiology Faculty will review and approve for credit. The Radiology Faculty will share with the Clinical Education, Program Coordinator the monthly credits the intern has earned. The monthly credits will be entered into eMedley for the tracking of graduation requirements.
