The B.S. Medical Laboratory Science Curriculum includes the following courses; actual course sequence will vary slightly by term of enrollment.
General Education Courses (30 credits)*
Up to 30 credits in the following areas:
- Minimum 4 credits Communications
- Minimum 4 credits Social Sciences
- Minimum 4 credits Humanities
- Minimum 4 credits Natural Science/Mathematics
- Up to 14 credits open electives
Lower Division Courses (45 credits)*
Up to 45 credits in the following areas:
- All lower-division MLT courses
- Remaining credits up to 45 max open electives

- Biochemistry (3 cr)
- MLS 3130 – Advanced Urinalysis & Body Fluids (3 cr)
- MLS 3150 – Advanced Bacteriology (3 cr)
- MLS 3160 – Lab Operations, Management, & Education (3 cr)
- MLS 3170 – Advanced Hematology (3 cr)
- MLS 3180 – Advanced Clinical Immunology (3 cr)
- MLS 4120 – Molecular Diagnostics (3 cr)
- MLS 4130 – Advanced Clinical Chemistry (3 cr)
- MLS 4150 – Advanced Parasitology, Mycology, & Virology (3 cr)
