- Required clinical hours are scheduled at local pharmacies and may vary from classroom hours.
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or currently enrolled as a high school student in good standing.
- Must be at least 18 years old to become licensed.
Advising Notes
This program is intended to prepare students for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board's Certified Pharmacy Technician Exam (CPhT) and the National Workforce Career Association (NWCA) Pharmacy Technician Association Certification (PTAC). Upon scoring high enough on this exam, a student is eligible for entry level employment as a pharmacy technician.

In Massachusetts a Pharmacy Technician must register with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
