OTA220 Current Topics in Occupational Therapy
A closer study of topics of special interest and demand in contemporary occupational therapy practice. Clinical reasoning is emphasized in the process of studying these topics. Topics may include but will not be limited to evidence-based practice, interprofessional collaboration, medical ethics, pharmacology, assistive technology, chronic pain management, orthotics and prosthetics, business concepts for the occupational therapy practitioner, ergonomics and universal design, low vision, driver rehab and training, alternative therapies, and emerging areas of practice. (30 hours of lecture)
