ESL076 Intermediate ESL Listening and Speaking 2
Using an interesting variety of materials, students develop and strengthen their listening and speaking skills for both academic and social situations. Materials include recorded naturally-occurring English such as conversations, lectures, and media presentations. Techniques and strategies for improving listening comprehension and effective communication are addressed. Students are provided opportunities to develop their language skills by working with partners and in small groups, and giving short oral presentations. Students are also introduced to note-taking. This course satisfies no elective requirement. (3 hours of lecture per week)
