SPL102 Introduction to Communication Disorders
An introduction to speech, language, and hearing as components of human communication; and a survey of the disorders of communication. The course focuses on the role speech and language plays in human existence and the psychosocial consequences associated with communication disorders. The course content is enhanced by 10 hours of observation as part of a Level I field placement. (3 hours of lecture per week and 10 hours of field observation per semester)
