MAT050 Foundations of Mathematics Literacy
This course is designed to strengthen basic math skills and to provide students with the necessary foundations for mathematics literacy. Topics include solving relevant mathematical problems using numeracy, mathematical thinking and investigations, proportional reasoning, personal financial applications and fundamental algebraic reasoning. Use of technology is integrated throughout the course. College success content will be integrated with mathematical topics.
Prerequisite
Placement into Level 2 Communications and CARR test score between 25 and 55.
