CS 270 Introduction to Scientific Computing

(3-0-3) An introductory computing course emphasizing fundamental computing tools and techniques and their application to solving scientific problems. Topics include operating systems, hardware, popular and scientific software, C++ programming in the context of solving scientific problems, and electronic communication. Equates with PHYS 270.
