Military Science Minor Requirements
Enrolled students may pursue a minor in military science by completing the following courses:
Required:
MS 301 | Leading Small Organizations I | 2 |

Electives: these are of particular interest and value to military science as approved by military science advisor
MS 339: Requires prior approval/permission by the department chair. Also required to commission as a 2nd Lieutenant.
Six to eight credit hours from the following MS courses:
Placement credit for these courses may be given to veterans, graduates of the college level ROTC summer programs and participants in high school level ROTC programs.

Total Credit Hours: 24
The following criteria must be met by all students in order to minor in military science:
- Acceptance into the advanced course.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.
- A GPA of 2.0 or better in the major field or area of concentration.
- A GPA of 3.0 or better in military science.
The above standards may be waived, providing the cadet has a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or better, with the approval of a board consisting of the Professor of Military Science, the Dean of the Caudill College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and a MS IV cadet who has the rank of cadet major or above.
