MATH 131 General Mathematics Problem Solving

A course providing the student with experiences designed to improve the ability to make decisions and solve a variety of problems. Emphasis is on learning to investigate, organize, observe, question, discuss, reason, generalize and validate. Mathematical content includes topics which are related to consumer mathematics, geometry, graphs, probability and statistics. This course satisfies the required core-math reasoning for general education.

1. C or better in MATH 090, MATH 091 or MATH 093 or 2. Minimum ACT Math score of 19 or 3. COMPASS Math score of 36 or 4. KYOTE score of 22
