HST 280 Introduction to Public History

This course serves as an introduction into the topic of applied history and its sub-fields. Students will explore how the past is presented to the public and how this interpretation change with each generation. This course will also explore the different fields of public history such as historic preservation, site interpretation, museum studies and cultural resource management.
