The Department of Psychology offers bachelor degree programs for students interested in human behavior, cognitive processes and neuroscience. These programs include the Bachelor of Science - Neuroscience Area (pending approval), Bachelor of Science - Psychology Major, Bachelor of Science, Psychology Area, and the Bachelor of Arts - Psychology Major. A minor in psychology is also available.

B.S. - Neuroscience Area

This program is designed for students interested in the relation between behavior/cognitive processes and the underlying nervous system structures. The Neuroscience Area is pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

B.S. - Psychology Area

This program provides a strong foundation in psychology, but it also provides for additional training in specialized areas of psychology. This program would be applicable for students interested in continuing their psychology education in graduate school.

B.S. - Psychology Major

This program provides a strong foundation for  students interested in human behavior and cognitive processes while also offering students the opportunity to minor or double major in other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) areas.

B.A. - Psychology Major

This program is designed for students interested in human behavior and cognitive processes while also offering students the opportunity to minor or double major in non-STEM areas. This program would be applicable for students interested in law school.
