PHED 617 Advanced Adapted Physical Education
This course is designed to provide students with a detailed understanding of the physical and motor characteristics of persons with developmental disabilities as they relate to programming in physical education. The course will focus on a review of individual differences along with in-depth study of the past and present research regarding legislation, assessment tools and procedures, and physical education programming for students with developmental disabilities.
