ENG.2202 Survey of Dramatic Literature I: The Classics

Through reading, viewing, and discussion of exemplary plays, this course will survey the literary, historical, political, and cultural significance of theatre and drama from the Greeks to Shakespeare, including: Medieval theatre, French, Spanish, and Italian Renaissance drama, and a brief investigation of Asian theatre.
