CSCH 3105 Chemistry of Cannabis

This course explores the broad subject of cannabis and its significance across several academic disciplines; while emphasizing its chemical nature, mode of action, and therapeutic potential. Concepts from history, biology, sociology, medicine, and politics are used to disseminate the complex story of cannabis. Additionally, we aim to have students advance from the course with a greater appreciation of chemistry, a notoriously difficult subject, than they may have had at the start of the semester. This course does not satisfy any requirement toward the Chemistry major or minor.
