Alumni and Graduate Scholarships

Manhattanville alumni from 1999 on, whose final cumulative GPA is 3.00 or above, are eligible for scholarship aid of $1,000 per semester. Students must be registered full-time (9 or more graduate credits).

Manhattanville alumni, except for BA/Masters students, who meet admissions requirements and pursue full-time graduate study within the year immediately after graduation are eligible for the Fast Start program which provides a 35% discount for all coursework within their Masters degree.  Fast Start students who have a 3.6 GPA are eligible for an additional $1,000 during the first semester.  Students must take 9 credits per semester (Fall and Spring) and must maintain a 3.00 graduate cumulative GPA.

 

Graduate scholarships will be awarded to incoming graduate student possessing an overall grade point average of 3.2 or higher who registers for six credits or more for the first graduate semester.  Students applying to and matriculated into the School of Education Graduate program may be entitled to one of the following academic scholarships for the first semester of study only:

Dual-degree (BA/MAT, BA/MPS, etc.) students are not eligible for Fast Start, Alumni or Graduate scholarships.

 

Diversity Scholarships of 33% for tuition will be awarded each year to up to ten graduate students from historically underrepresented backgrounds, newly matriculated into a Masters degree, with demonstrated financial need and evidence of potential as a teacher.   Recipients must carry a course load of 5 credits or above in each semester and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00.  Diversity scholarships are administered by the Office of Financial Aid.

 

Physical Education applicants with a 3.25 GPA or above who have direct positive experience as instructional support staff in preK-12 settings, non-school settings (e.g. camps, scouting, coaching) and who demonstrate a high likelihood of success in the field of Physical Education are eligible for a 30% discount for their Masters in PE program, denoted the PE PLUS program.


Scholarships and discounts may not be combined.  Scholarships may not be applied if a student is receiving any other discount provided by Manhattanville or is a Graduate Assistant.
