PSY 3042 Clinical Psychology
This seminar course is intended to introduce students to the field of clinical psychology. The course begins with an examination of the historical development, philosophical issues, and theoretical bases pertinent to the study of clinical psychology. Using an integrative theoretical framework, the course examines a broad sampling of current topics and controversies in the field of clinical psychology, including: the concept of abnormality, assessment, issues of diagnosis and classification, clinical judgment, the nature and evaluation of psychological intervention.
