Sociology Major Requirements
Ten courses must be completed satisfactorily for a major in Sociology.

SOC 2091 Social Science Research (taken Spring semester of the Junior year)

6 electives in SOC, ANTH, WGS, orSOCJ - select classes in WGS and SOCJ, not all courses from those areas are accepted.
(The 6 electives must include at least 1 3000-level course)

The requirement of 10 courses should be considered a minimum; students majoring in the program may wish to include additional sociology and anthropology courses.
All 10 courses required for the major must receive letter grade evaluations of at least C.
