HIS 2047 TWENTIETH CENTURY RUSSIA
The course will focus on the development of Russia in the Twentieth Century beginning with the last Romanov-Tsar Nicholas II and ending with the overthrow of the Communist System of Mikhail Gorbachev. Among the topics included in the course are: Russo-Japanese War, Revolution of 1905, World War I, The Revolutions of 1917, the period between the two Wars, World War II, the Cold War, De-Stalinazation, the Rift Between China and Russia, and the overthrow of Russian Communism.
