SPAN 343 Images of Immigration in Spain

This course examines the history of migration to and from Spain during the twentieth and twenty-first centuries via its representation in literature, film, theater, photography, and popular media. We will approach Spain's dual history of emigration and immigration with a critical lens that reads the categories of "immigrant" and "Spaniard" as porous and historically fluid. 

Prerequisite

SPAN 211 or 215 and at least 2 courses from Foundations in Hispanophone Studies (SPAN 300-339)
