GC 5940 CANCER GENETICS AND GENETIC COUNSELING

The course starts with an examination of the molecular mechanisms by which cancer cells arise; develop into tumors; and metastasize. This knowledge will then be applied to clinical care as cancer genes; cancer genetic disorders/syndromes; single gene and panel testing; and genetic counseling for cancer will be discussed.
