The Department of Bilingual, TESOL and World Languages offers a variety of undergraduate programs for students seeking certification to teach in K-12 schools. These programs are listed below.
Elementary Bilingual Education
Elementary bilingual educators promote opportunities for all through mentorship and instruction. They change lives by easing the transition for English-language learners and create safe academic environments for all students.
Spanish
Spanish proficiency enhances your appreciation of the language and the cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world. Spanish education is about inspiring a love of language and culture in your students. Kean’s Spanish program will enable you to achieve a ready comprehension of spoken Spanish to help build connections with a wide range of people and communities across multiple career interests. With a Spanish teacher certification, you can also build meaningful relationships in our growing global economy as a teacher, researcher, interpreter or consultant.
