MATH 5310 TOPOLOGICAL STRUCTURES

The topology of the real line and plane along with abstract topological spaces are considered. Topics include compactness, connectedness, homeomorphism, nets, filters, separation axioms and cardinality, introduction to uniform and proximity spaces and elementary homotopy and homology theory. Four semesters of calculus or the equivalent.
