ACCT 2232 COMPUTERIZED ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS AND PROCEDURES

This course details the processes for setting up new company files, preferences, and chart of accounts in computerized environment. Students learn hands-on practice in processing purchases and payables, sales and receivables, payroll, banking, general accounting, and reporting. The course also focuses on the use of QuickBooks to analyze company performance and produce financial statements. Other topics include ethics in financial accounting, database management, and the use of computerized spreadsheets to prepare and analyze financial statements and create charts and graphs for business decision making.
