Select Five (5) Sociology courses; At least three (3) must be at the 3000-4000 level. The optional internship courses can be counted toward the Sociology electives.
SOC 3173 (Optional Internship course): Students can be approved for a maximum of one three credit internship which may be used to fulfill major elective requirement.
Major Capstone Course 3
SOC 4600: Requires a grade of C or better.
Free Electives 36-37
At least 50% must be at 3000/4000 level.
SOC 1996 Optional Freshman Research: Freshman may partner with faculty to earn on credit as a free elective, which may be taken up to two times.
SOC 3171 and SOC 3172 Optional Internships (1-2 credits): Students can be approved for a maximum of 3 credits which may fulfill free elective requirements. SOC 3171 and SOC 3172 are the only Sociology courses acceptable for use in the free electives area, in addition to SOC 1996.
