The Nancy Thompson Library Learning Commons (NTLC) provides both Writing support and Public Speaking assistance to the diverse community of writers and speakers who make up the student body, faculty, and staff. The services foster best practices in writing across the disciplines, and serves as a center for public speaking and skills development. Appointments for on-site sessions are scheduled using Tutor-Trac and can be made on-line, in person, or over the phone.
On-line access to writing and public speaking support services are available through the website. Students can schedule an appointment and discuss their work with a coach via chat, or a coach can review their efforts and return comments and suggestions. Presentations and workshops are offered throughout the semester to help share knowledge of writing and public speaking with a wide variety of students in the classroom.
