THE EXAMINATION OF MODERN LITERATURE FOR OR ABOUT YOUNG ADULTS AS A VIABLE LITERARY GENRE WITH ITS OWN CHARACTERISTICS, HISTORY, AND BODY OF CRITICISM. EMPHASIS ON SELECTIO OF LITERATURE FOR ADOLESCENTS AT VARIOUS STAGES AND ANALYSIS OF ISSUES IN THE FIELD, SUCH AS CENSORSHIP, NEW MEDIA , AND THE CANON.
