The philosophical and empirical base of training in school and clinical psychology will be emphasized. Issues that impact the role and function of school psychologists will also be addressed in this course such as history and foundation of school psychology, public policy, professional trends, quality of practice, advances in technologies, and the organization, operation, and culture of educational settings. Required for students in the M.A. Educational Psychology Program and the Professional Diploma in School Psychology Program.
