LPN 143 Maternal/Child LPN Practice

(Contact Hours: 3) This course applies the concepts related to the LPN role for childbearing and childrearing families into the laboratory and simulated setting. Application of systematic problem-solving processes and critical-thinking skills, including a focus on the childbearing family during the perinatal periods and the childbearing family from birth to adolescence, and competency in knowledge, judgment, skill, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of LPN 101, LPN 103, LPN 108, and either BIO 210 or BIO 215 is REQUIRED.
