EDMT 225 Applied Finite Ele Analysis

(Contact Hours: 7) This course uses modern finite element analysis (FEA) software packages to teach students and professionals how to solve real world engineering problems using computer analysis. Topics include basic 3D modeling, FEA, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), linear and nonlinear solutions, importing CAD model formats, assembly animations, and design optimization using modern computer-aided engineering (CAE) software packages. Students will solve using static, dynamic, thermal, fluid, impact, and multi-physics analysis. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of EDMT 102 or instructor permission is REQUIRED. EDMT 171 and EDMT 215 are recommended.
