EDMT 215 Statics Strength of Materials

(Contact Hours: 4) This engineering technology course teaches the fundamentals of mechanical forces and solid mechanics. Topics include two- and three-dimensional force systems, structural forces, vectors, friction, calculating centroids and moments of inertia, axial/torsional loading, and stress and strain. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of MATH 106 or MATH 156 is REQUIRED.
