EDMT 102 Basics of Mechanical Sciences

(Contact Hours: 3) This course uses mechanical, applied mathematical, applied physical, and other scientific principles to solve real-world engineering problems. Topics include systems of measurement, forces, mechanisms, vectors, fluid power, and more. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced; and Math - SAT: 23.5, ALEKS: 14, Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 80, NextGen Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 260, ACT 18, or COMPASS (Pre-Algebra): 50, or successful completion of MATH 097 or MATH 106 is REQUIRED.
