Engineering, AS

Engineering is the use of science and mathematics to design or make things. Engineers work in the innovation, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of structures, machines, materials, devices, systems, processes, and organizations.

This program is designed for students who intend to transfer to a four-year college or university. Requirements may be updated prior to the start of the Fall 2023 semester. Students completing this program should consult a counselor or advisor to develop their degree plan and for registration advice.

This degree program provides the necessary course background for transfer to any engineering specialty area. Completion of these courses will prepare a student for majors in civil, construction, computer, electrical, industrial, mechanical, and paper engineering. Kalamazoo Valley also offers an Associate of Applied Science in engineering technology designed for both employment and transfer.
