BREW 275 Brewing Field Internship

(Contact Hours: 3) This internship will provide students an opportunity to apply what they have learned in the brewing coursework in a working brewery or related industry. Internships may be arranged with local craft breweries, multi-national breweries, ingredient suppliers, research facilities, distribution or sales facility, marketing companies, accredited brewing schools, or an approved establishment. The student will perform work as directed by the sponsor supervisor, which might be focused on one or more brewing-related areas. Hands on learning, critical thinking, and problem solving will be the emphasis of this course. PREREQUISITE: Departmental approval is REQUIRED.
