BREW 160 Styles Sensory & Food Pairing

(Contact Hours: 4) Students will gain knowledge of world beer styles, sensory skill training in evaluating and judging beer, and define sensory attributes of specific styles. Additionally, this course will provide students with knowledge of classic beer styles and sensory skill training in pairing beer with food, where students will learn to complement and/or contrast different beer and food combinations. Students will also learn the basics of customer relations within the industry. This course is intended to help prepare students for the Cicerone (R) Certified Beer server exam*. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced. *This course is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Cicerone (R) Certification Program.
