BREW 110 History,Culture&Sustainability

(Contact Hours: 2) Through this course, students will gain knowledge of brewing from the origins of civilizations to the modern industry. Topics and events regarding the past, present, and future of local, national, and global brewing industries will be discussed. Additional topics include legal and regulatory issues within the industry on a state and federal level. Sustainable industry practices and methodologies will be elaborated on with an emphasis on the economic, social, and environmental sectors. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
