Graduation
Students are eligible to graduate when the following requirements are met:
- Student has earned a high school diploma or equivalent (GED®, HiSET®) if required by the program of study, and has submitted an official transcript to GNTC;
- Student has satisfactorily completed all required courses and credit hours in the program of study for which the student is applying to graduate;
- Student meets the minimum 2.0 GPA requirement for the program of study for which the student is applying to graduate;
- Student must complete and submit a graduation application in MyGNTC (Registrar Forms) by the end of early registration week for the semester in which you will complete your program;
- Program area exit examination has been completed (if required); and
- At least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation have been earned at Georgia Northwestern Technical College. No more than 75% of the credit hours required for graduation may be earned by transfer of credit, credit by examination, or articulation.
Honor graduate status is awarded as follows:
High Honor Graduate
Cumulative GPA of 4.0
Honor Graduate
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 -3.99
Students who re-enroll in the college after an absence of 12 consecutive months or more and who are seeking a degree, diploma, or certificate must meet the graduation requirements as stated in the GNTC Catalog and/or Student Handbook which is in effect at the time of re-enrollment. Students may meet graduation requirements at the end of each semester.
