Course by Arrangement
To be considered for Course by Arrangement (CBA), a student must be enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree at Franciscan University of Steubenville. Only a full-time faculty member of the University may serve as a program tutor. The student is charged an additional fee per credit hour being earned above tuition. This fee covers the salary of the instructor and cannot be waived. Contracts for a CBA must be completed with all requested information and signatures by the last day of registration. The CBA learning contract must include the reason why course is being taken out of sequence, when meetings will be held, the expected date of completion, and verification that this is equivalent to the regularly offered course. The learning contract must be completed and approved before a student is considered registered for a CBA. Students should check their class schedule to be sure registration is complete. The course number will be (Department) (number) AR for the section (i.e. ENG 204 AR).
