Spanish Catholic Culture Minor
For the Spanish Catholic Culture Minor, a total of 18 credits at the post SPN 102/SPN 106 level are required with the stipulation a minimum of 12 credits be in the content area of Catholicism in the Spanish-speaking world.
Though not required, it is recommended that students take at least 2 advanced language-skills courses. Advanced language-skills courses include SPN 303, SPN 304, SPN 307, and SPN 308.

Note: Students who place out of SPN 201 and SPN 202 by placement exam or by having earned equivalent credits at another institution may begin taking Spanish courses at the 300 level. The placement exam does not confer credit, and placing out of the intermediate level and into the advanced level does not constitute a waiver of the overall number of credits required. Students must still complete 18 credits in Spanish at the post SPN 102 / SPN 106 level.
