TDT 3110 PROPS WORKSHOP

Students gain experience in theatrical prop design, construction, preparation, planning, and management by guided projects and by producing props for the Winter Performing Arts productions. The course is a mix of lecture/demo and guided practice.

TDT 2150 introduces students to vocabulary and safety procedures they need in this course.

1. Students will read scripts and identify prop needs.
2. Students will research history, use, and styles of needed props.
3. Students will design, build, and acquire props for the two winter term Elon shows according to the processes we discuss in class.
4. Students will create a “Props Bible”, a binder documenting their work.
