SOC 4999 INDEPENDENT RESEARCH IN SOCIOLOGY
The student develops an individual project of original research under the guidance of a professor within the department.
Prerequisite
At least sophomore standing, Sociology major or minor;
SOC 2150 or
SOC 2160, and permission of the sponsoring professor

Students are also required to complete the department's independent research form, a process that includes a description of the proposed research and a student-professor plan for completing the course.
