MGT 4170 AGILE PROJECT MANAGEMENT
This course provides students with the skills needed to master core concepts pertaining to agility and agile approaches to project management. Agility refers to the ability of an organization to rapidly react to unpredictable scenarios, and within the context of product development, to respond to unclear requirements. There are several industry domains where agility is being practiced, such as manufacturing, engineering, software development, and supply chain management. This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the principles, processes, and practices of agile approaches to project management but with a special focus on Agile Scrum. Students will learn techniques for initiating, planning, and executing projects using agile practices. Additionally, students will be required to attempt certification as an Agile Scrum Master (Professional Scrum Master I) as an important component of this class.
- Students will learn about Agile approaches to project management using the Scrum framework.
- This course will cover Agile Scrum concepts, tools, techniques, and methods as a way Students will learn about adaptive life cycles and will apply an adaptive approach to project execution using a variety of tools, methods and models.
- Students will attempt certification as an Agile Scrum Master (Professional Scrum Master I) as an important component of this class.
