Students will learn about the different approaches to nation building in both countries, policies toward First Nation/Native Americans, war, women's rights, politics, foreign policy, immigration and other issues. The class will spend about half of the semester examining Canada and its history. The other half of class will be used to look at Canadian/U.S. relations in several variances.
