SPN 3560 TEXTS AND SOCIAL CHANGE
This course investigates how creative texts function to mirror power structures, reveal underlying tensions and provoke social action in Spain and Spanish America. Representative topics include: “Theatre and Social Activism in the Hispanic World,” “Trans-Atlantic Dialogue: Transculturation in the Hispanic World,” and “Why the Past Matters: Refashioning Archetypes of the Hispanic World,” and will be offered in rotation.
Prerequisite
Two courses at the lower 3000 level (SPN 3000 - SPN 3490)
