FRE 3062 PERSPECTIVES ON MODERN FRANCE

This course is designed to help students gain important perspectives on French society from the late 18th century to the present via an interdisciplinary approach to the study of important works of literature and other cultural productions. Students examine works in their historical contexts and develop their skills in textual analysis and research in French. The selected works allow students to gain a transhistorical perspective on a unified theme (such as war stories).
