ECO 3430 MATHEMATICAL ECONOMICS

This course is designed to provide students in economics and mathematics with an opportunity to learn and use the tools of economics in the manner in which they are employed in the profession. While mathematical techniques such as constrained optimization and multidimensional modeling will be taught, the principal aim of the course is to develop students' facility with using mathematics as a basis for economic reasoning.

ECO 2300, or for Economics or International Economics majors or minors only who placed in STS 2120 upon entrance, STS 2120, ECO 3100, ECO 3200 and MTH 1160 or higher or permission of instructor
