ECO 3130 FEDERAL RESERVE CHALLENGE
This course is designed to help prepare students for the College Fed Challenge competition. This academic competition is framed to assist in the development of students' research, group dynamics, presentation, and critical thinking skills. Specifically the competition, hosted by the U.S. Federal Reserve, is an opportunity for university students from around the country to learn more about the Fed and the decision-making process used by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy-setting body. The competition is judged by Federal Reserve economists, and consists of a 20-minute presentation followed by a rigorous 10-15 minute question/answer session. This course is repeatable for credit.
