CHM 3550 MEDICINAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY
This is a lecture course designed to introduce the topics and techniques involved in medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry theory and research. There will be an emphasis on major drug classes, their history and therapeutic application in disease, identification, synthesis and development of drugs, structure-function relationships of pharmaceutical agents, and biotransformation and drug metabolism in the body.
Prerequisite
CHM 3510 (can be take as a co-requisite); or permission of department chair
