DPT 6140 Foundations of Biomechanics

Basic concepts of biomechanics are presented to prepare the student for application to specific regional problems in Module IV (DPT 616, 617, 618) and Module VI (DPT 702). Principles of biomechanics (kinematics and kinetics) and functional characteristics of bone, connective tissue, and skeletal muscle are presented to develop a conceptual framework for discussion and application to human motion.
